Interesting article in todays Cyprus Mail.

MP Michalis Yiakoumi on Thursday called for legislation to impose life sentences without parole or early release for child rapists and judges to be given the authority to order chemical castration for those convicted of child sexual abuse.

If there is 100% no doubt that the person is guilty of abuse, this law, if implemented, would hopefully keep our children safe.

Groomers are out on our streets and we have no idea who they are or what they have done. It’s a shame there is no way of knowing if the person you befriend is an abuser, here or from other countries.

Shame Cyprus doesn’t have a register of abusers available to the general public so that we can at least check @,

Yes, I agree. Rape is a particularly nasty sort of crime which has far reaching effects on the poor victim, be it be a woman and particularly for a child.
Even with total castration hopefully a long custodial sentence should be given as well to all convicted rapists.

Include the same offences against animals, it happens, and it's horrific.

The point is they don't suffer in prison, did you see the video of the prisoner in Wandsworth, getting his leg over with the female prison warder, while his mate filmed it whilst smoking a joint?

No I haven't seen the video mind you it sounds about right,perhaps maybe they should put the sex abusers in a cell with the likes of Charles Bronson and other nut jobs whom Iam sure have a vile hatred for these people,you sometimes hear of child molesters having the shit kicked out of them in prison
