The Kato Paphos webcam appears to be frozen. Either that or those people have been standing there all night.

Well done sir.
I've just been looking - the two that say 'sponsored by Holitec' look like they need a reboot and a polish too!

Does that mean that I have to contact Holitec to get them refreshed?

You can ask Jim but I think they are pretty much retired now. They had a long service though!

Ask Jim? - who's he?
If you mean the one outside JimX's house, that works OK - it's the Lachi Harbour and Peyeia ones

The one outside JimX's house has been frozen for around 6 years

I tried repairing it this afternoon, but it appears to have webcam dementia. Half way through configuring it forgets what it is and goes back to factory default.
I will investigate alternatives.

I don't suppose you have any control over the Latchi webcam, which is useless at the moment?
This is useful when trying to work out if it's worth the hour drive to snorkel up there or if it's too windy up there (ok, not an issue at the moment, but early and late summer it can be helpful).

None I am afraid. I had been planning on getting one installed up there myself, but I am now using that to replace the one in Kato Paphos!

Our other holiday rental is in Barmouth, N Wales.
There's a webcam there on one of the B&B's just up the street
https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webca ... mouth.html
I see from their homepage that there are a couple in Larnaca and one in Oroklini
I know nothing about how/why these things are run, but thought I'd mention it ...

A lot of those are illegal. You cannot show images that are identifiable. I could read car number plates and see people's faces on some of them.
I don't care, but I do know that when I first put the Kato Paphos one up I was threatened with being reported. That is why I blur the lower half of the image, and why it is an image as opposed to a film.
Oddly enough, all the people who complained were German tourists.
