COVID RESTRICTIONS

Can anyone point me to where the current restrictions with regard to Covid are set out please. I am thinking in particular about visits to Hospitals,Dentists etc as was initially promulgated some time ago

General Hospital you still need a rapid test and Nicosia General Hospital.
I went to the dentist, no rapid test need but had to wear a mask same with dermatologist.

Adding to previous comments, any hospital you need Covid Rapid test ,that also applies to any specialist Doctors at their own surgeries....

My wife and I had two lots of rapid tests last week , 20 euros in total for two hospital visits and nobody at either hospitals asked to see them . Maybe different at some hospitals . lefkes

I too had a covid test and at the hospital I use no one was checking them. It was in the late afternoon when checking seems to be a bit Lax

I have an appointment at the Evangelismos next week see a specialist surgeon, do I need a rapid test to get in?

Yes Jim, usually the secretary will call you the day before the appointment to remind you and should mention the rapid test

I assume that if you turned up at A and E in an Emergency you would be attended to without the covid test?

All the tests I've had cost €5 each not 10

His wife and himself had two lots of tests. Two tests for two people is 4x5 = 20

I had an appointment at St George's last week. I rang the specialists secretary to enquire. No test required she said. But they like you to wear a mask. Seems as if different hospitals have different rules.

I phoned the Blue Cross and yes you need a test !

Adding to this:-

I've had 2 appointments at Blue Cross recently, and both
times I had a rapid test as per instructions.

Both times I was not asked on entering if I had a rapid test.

Most staff were "maskless".

Still a slightly confusing situation!
My advice is the same, if you have a hospital appt ring the hospital or the specialist’s secretary to check on their requirements re masks and tests.. these days most people have a mobile…

The position is quite clear, the requirement to present a negative Covid-19 test result in order to visit a hospital or nursing home was lifted recently - as reported in the Cyprus Mail and other media outlets on 19 March:
