Tsada/Olympus Village

Can anyone comment on the pros/cons of living in Tsada/Olympus Village, as opposed to Tala?

Being more elevated than Tala, it will be colder during the winter. But it also seems quieter and less developed, which are positives.

Also wondering how the new Paphos/Polis Road will affect the noise level in Tsada. We know the road will cut between Minthis Hills and Olympus Village. We think it will be far from the village, but noise carries across the hills and ravines. Any views?

To make things more complicated, you can also hear traffic noise in parts of Olympus Village from the existing B7 between Paphos and Polis!

Any comments would be appreciated.

First, Olympos village is not that high, it varies between 480 m and 520 m sea level.

Second, there is a valley between the village and the new highway, so I have doubts you will ever hear traffic from there, more likely from the B7, when heavy lorries climb up the Tsada hill...

I had a customer there and was visiting a least 15 times and never heard traffic noise in his garden.

Are you sure it´s that high? That´s about the elevation of my plot in Polemi which is quite a bit more uphill.

You are forgetting you drive downhill from Tsada to get to Polemi.

Good point. I wouldn't have thought the volleyball is that deep.

What 'Volley Ball' ??

If you use 'Google Earth' wherever you put the pointer it shows you the height above sea level

I prefer to trust the Gov. portal DLS where one can see all the levels in one picture....in this case the whole Olympou Road until the dead end.
(500 m - 560 m)

Sorry, that was my spellchecker. Was meant to read valley.

Even if you don't actually use spell checker, my tablet seems to have a type of predicted text- (which unfortunately I don't know how to disable). This can change a word in a sentence so as to change the meaning which I had intended. Very annoying.
