I am surprised of this "Our view" article in Cyprus Mail today as it is spot-on. (which happens not too often!)

People living on Island should read that and perhaps have their own opinion about the recent development of Greek/Turkish relations.

I am certainly not a friend of Erdogan's politics and I wonder what made him change his attitude towards Greece. It cannot be only his desperation to get F16's from America, there must be more.

So what is your opinion?

Yes, but he's also criticised the US about supporting the Israeli regime in regards to Gaza. I doubt he will ever be happy unless the whole of this region is Muslim, including Greece and Cyprus

He is a dictator who has managed to turn a modern European looking country into an Iran mk2 his surport of Hamas speaks volumes

Yes,very interesting. It really would benefit all parties if a comprehensive settlement was reached.
But experience of Cypriot politics here in the last 20+years makes me feel sceptical.
