Paphos Life

There appears to be a Europe-USA-wide shortage of prescription-level Bicarbonate of Soda, 500mg. In Paphos, the General Hospital is now out of stock and do not know when it will be available again. The same story with the high street pharmacies. Is anybody else in the same situation? Interested to know what alternatives have been prescribed.

A check on Goole says that it is a cheap medication to produce with little or no profit for the big drug companies so they've reduced production.

why not buy it in powder form and mix half a teaspoon in a small quantity of water?

I would ask my local pharmacist if that was acceptable !
