2022 tax return

Just been informed the last date for the 2022 tax return has yet again been extended from 2nd of October to last day in October .
Can anybody confirm this ?. Thanks for any information ,lefkes .

The Finance Ministry has announced an extension of the tax return submission deadline for the year 2022 until October 31, 2023, at 23:59. This extension comes after a proposal presented to the Council of Ministers.
Initially set for October 2, the deadline applies to both individuals required to file a 2022 Personal Income Tax Return and those obligated to make self-assessment tax payments. The extension offers relief to employees, pensioners, and self-employed individuals whose total gross income for 2022 exceeds 19,500 euros.
This move provides taxpayers with additional time to fulfill their financial obligations and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
