Paphos Boardwalk And The Tower

Today we concentrate on the area of the Boardwalk between SODAP and the Municipal Beach. We also fly over Suite 48 Grill, which is receiving lots of positive vibes on our Facebook Group. From there we take a close look at the infamous new tower. Love it or hate it, it is most definitely here to stay. Next to the tower is the old, abandoned Aloe Hotel, which is itself reputed to have another tower built on its site.

If you want to moan about the tower(s), go and tell them on the Pafos Municipality Facebook Page, or contact them some other way. There is no point moaning about it in the comments of our film. That is just lazy, and won't achieve anything. If you want to stop things like this, you need to talk to the right people.

In fact the sea views are completely unobstructed from all balconies as it is the one and only tower in Kato Paphos. At least at present, in a former completely low rise( building) town. hope Its not a first step to an attempt to create another town blighted by high rises.

It's actually difficult to fly the drone there, from the SODAP car park at least. When the drone loses contact with the remote, it has a return to home feature built in, where it rises to 30m and takes beeline home. When you fly the drone around the tower, it naturally loses contact, as the tower blocks it. However, the tower is over 30m tall. I don't think the drone would fly straight into it, but if it decided to fly above it, then it would be breaking the height restrictions. So in this instance I just overrode the return to home and told the drone to keep going in a set direction until it was safely out the other side.
