Paphos sea front

Along the seafront between Ta Bahia and Harbour cafe about 6 stainless steel posts have been bolted to the footpath close to lampposts .One can be seen on the Elan web cam.Any ideas what they might be for?.

Possibly to position litter bins as most of the old one's seem to have gone

The most litter bins I have seen are when you are driving through Kissonerga.
It's such a clean village.
