My cardiologist wants me to consul a pathologist (under GESY) to discuss diabetes’ issues. Can anyone recommend someone local? I would appreciate it. And I would prefer not to go anywhere near Paphos General.

They are not allowed, i had the same issue recently, when i asked my GP to recomendent a specialist.

If you log onto your Gesy portal there is a list of doctors at which hospital they are at.

They are not allowed, i had the same issue recently, when i asked my GP to recomendent a specialist.

I find that very strange as only last week my GP gave me a name of a surgeon who they recommended ,was able to go along and get an appointment and minor surgery straight away at a cost of 6 euros under gesy.

When given referrals in the past I am usually given 2 or 3 Drs to choose from, not necessarily recommendations.
Maybe your Dr is less unaccommodating than mine.

My wife had a similar experience , she was seeing her diabetes specialist , my wife was told to make an appointment for an eye specialist when my wife asked if the Doctor could recommend some one, the doctor told her she could not and to look at the gesy website

Yes, it is interesting how Personal Doctors vary with regards to giving names of Specialist Doctors.
The first one = not allowed to give recommendations.
The second one = tended to give the name of specialists at one hospital.
The current one = very helpful and gave a few suggestions at different locations.

Our GP gives a list with contact details of various specialists in the Paphos area
