Russia is currently constructing a Nuclear power station on the south coast of Turkey, many experts warned against this, explaining the high risk of earth quakes in the area but these warnings were ignored,

I have no chapter and verse, but I believe that the site chosen is nowhere near the fault line causing the current catastrophe. The damage caused by shallow earthquakes, like these ones, is essentially quite local, even if a tremor may be felt 100 km away. After all, Cyprus has hardly dropped into the sea from these.
