Just had very heavy rain which was followed by HAIL, so heavy could hardly see through it.

Nope! It has been light but steady between 09:10 and 14:30, with a maximum rain rate of 0.04 mm/m or 2.22 mm/h, totalling 5.2 mm today – nothing to write home about! Fairly gusty though with max of 5.4 m/s at 13:48.
