Tree rats

Post by sunspot »

We seem to have a tree rat or something similar living in our mature Italian Cypress. Whatever it is is gnawing at the branches and we find them on the ground each morning. We bought poison pellets from Plantfix and attached them to the trunk, but they have remained untouched. We fear this animal will decimate our beautiful tree. Any ideas? Apparently tree rats are attracted by fruit trees but we have none.

They sound like Carob rats, they normally do not do damage...

Get yourself a small cage trap, from diy shop.
