I may have mentioned these before but here are my favourite documentaries.
1. Murder on a Sunday morning. (AVAILABLE ON YOU TUBE.)
This is an Oscar winning film from around 2001.
A man and his wife are walking by a hotel when they are confronted by a gunman who shoots the wife dead. The police quickly arrest a 16 year old black boy, Brenton Butler, and he is immediately identified by the husband as the killer.
He is defended by two public defenders. One a lady whose name escapes me and the other the chain smoking Pat mc Guinness.
Give it a bit a bit of time and you will see the most devastating real life cross examination.
2. The Staircase. The documentary ,not the recent film starring Colin Firth which I have not seen. Netflix
