Two new projects announced worth 9 million euros in the tourist area of Paphos.

The Mayor of Paphos - Phedon Phedonos - today announced two new contracts together worth nearly 9 million euros aimed at improving Tourist Areas in Paphos. These include an improved walkway between Paphos and Chloraka, as well as improving and maintaining existing facilities.

That sounds like good news! At present the area between Paphos Harbour, and the coastal path which runs along the outside of the Archaeological Park and the Lighthouse, peters out near the old cafe on Faros Beach. Then restarts near the Elsyium Hotel, but then peters out again, in an area of rough stony ground near the coast. It will be very nice if a new paved path which is also landscaped, is built and which links to the existing Chloraka section. This path starts on the Paphos side of the King Evalthon Hotel.
