Why is it that aerosol air fresheners available in Cyprus always conk out when they are not even half empty, yet aerosol deodorants work fine?

The nozzle could be clogged, remove , run under hot water then try opening the hole with a pin, if that dosnt work , stop buying them from the pound shop.
