A fishing boat left on the special boat transport trailer by its owner, in a central open area of the Community of Emba was set on fire early on Friday morning. The boat, which is a professional one, belongs to a 57-year-old man from Emba and the Police are investigating whether the fire was due to arson. ...

Paphos police on Friday arrested a 23-year-old man for arson of a boat. The suspect was taken into custody pending investigation.
According to police information, around 2 am on Friday, a fire broke out in a boat owned by a 57-year-old man, which was parked ashore in a field near Emba....
...From examinations carried out it was established that the fire had been set maliciously and evidence emerged against the 23-year-old suspect, who was located and arrested by members with a court warrant, just before 6:30 pm....
