Just terrible. Heartbreaking.

Very sad but what were the parents and relatives doing , obvioulsly not watching the child

Sad so sad, but please dont start having a go at the parents, without knowing the facts, it only takes a minute for a tragedy to happen.

Very true. And especially true when there is a whole family involved. It's all too easy in such a situation to assume that another member of the party knows where the child is.

And presumably the hotel's life guard,if they have one, wasn't there ....

Did you read the article ? It say’s a Lifeguard was called – I would assume they did not go the next town to call one – and there could be many reasons why the Lifeguard did not see the incident – Maybe he was watching the kids pool – As WHL say’s don’t point the finger without knowing the fact’s
And why do you always have such a negative tone on every single thing to do with Paphos or Cyprus ? If its such a terrible place why are you living there

Boy are some members truly vindictive..unfortunately. its a very negative aspect of this board.

Yes really really sad. I can think of at least a couple of occasions when we 'lost' one of our kids for a short while................fortunately no harm came to them. I just happens and people shouldn't assume it is down to bad parenting.
