Achepans road at the Konia end going to the hospital is closed and dug up from the Konia road.
I went past this morning so you cannot get to Anavorgos that way from Konia.

That's a nuisance as it is also a good shortcut if coming up from ERA/Alphamega and heading towards the Main Post Office.
Also, more importantly, a longer journey by ambulance if coming from that side of Paphos

It's a very dangerous junction due to the island wide lack of use of indicators. I've seen numerous crashes there so it's handy it's local to the General.

99% of the time I use the Motorway roundabout going from the Post Office to pass McDonald's. But Google always put that road in as the best route..

Poor road markings are also an issue. If I'm thinking of the right place, there are no painted lines, just some difficult-to-see studs.

Correct, and if approaching the junction from the hospital and intending to turn right towards the roundabout you also have to creep forward a bit in order to see the traffic coming from Konia due to the dip in the road. Certainly proper road markings are long overdue at this junction and it would certainly help the traffic flow if people did use indicators in advance - and slowed down as they make the turn!

Please feel free to post any roads you find closed, but check your not double posting a road that's already posted.
A lot of bad driving here is due to lack of knowing how to drive, take note of how many drivers stop in the middle of the lane when turning left or right.
They do not put the car next to the white line when turning right, and they do not keep to the left when turning left.

Road positioning is very poor and doesn't appear to be one of the driving skills taught here.
We have to drive up the Konia Road most days but tend to avoid the road past the hospital and take the road past the EAC building when coming from the Annavargas side of town

One should not forget that this road was built only ca 10 years ago. That time the access to the hospital from the highway roundabout was extremely poor.
You can see how it looked when they started working with some diggers then. (bottom right hand side) However some improvement at the bottom end of this road where it meets the very busy Konia to Armou road would be handy as there is always a long queue or cars wanting to access that road.

The Hospital Helipad with a big cross on it is at the top centre of the picture. A corner of the hospital car park is just visible as well

B7 Polis road blocked at the traffic light near Lidl.

I think when the roundabout by Lidl is open its going to be nightmare if turning right. The failure to use indicators on roundabouts drives me crazy.

A lot of drivers look through to windscreen as it is a TV screen and don't look out of the side windows.
90 % of the information your brain receives when driving comes from your eyes.
And if you're brain can not process the information then you have a problem

I found this out when coming into town this morning. At the 'Viafoss' traffic lights you either had to turn Left or Right. The road into town was blocked off completely.
Later on when trying to get up the road from Time out Kiosk past Lidl and onwards, I found this was blocked as well and I had to turn Right and right again back towards town again.
You could then turn left and go towards the Evangelismos and left again to the Dual carriageway ..
It certainly was Chaos, and traffic was very heavy..

Gladstonos is also closed - the uphill road you bear right onto just before Kennedy Square when coming from the harbour. Add Griva Digeni to the mix and driving in Paphos is challenging nowadays!

Be careful parking around the government buildings as there are plenty of red parking cones and traffic wardens due to the B6 from the Makorias Statue towards Cyta being closed..

I wonder how the “red registration plates” are negotiating all the roadworks
