Thank you for your post a very interesting article if not, as you say, a little surprising. However it should be of comfort to us all nd I personally have found the treatment I have received in Cyprus both State run and private satisfactory.

I do believe the matter of a National Health Service is once more going before Parliament if I have interpreted the news correctly - there was something on the radio recently from the Health Representative MP.

Ah, here we go again then. As I recall the doctors in the UK did precisely that too that is why it took two years to get the 1946 Act implemented. It was Bevan (Health Minister at the time) who said the doctors wanted the shirt off his back before they would agree to work under such a system.
