Paphos Life

Yesterday evening around 7-45 pm I saw what thought was a firework but it was too high and travelling fast and faded out in seconds, I asked some friends if they had seen it and most had and suggested it was a meteorite. Anyone have details of what it was ?

We used to see lots of them in the Middle East, especially when our work camps were out in the desert. Possibly that was due to the low light pollution.
Amazing to watch.
