Polemi Pond

Outside of Winter and Spring, a lot of Cyprus is very arid. Polemi, centrally placed in Paphos and surrounded by vineyards, remains greener than most. It even has a village pond. Admitedly, you have to go for a bumpy drive to find it, and very few people probably know that it is there, but find it we did.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all snakes are deaf, so making noise doesn't do any good, only ground vibrating does.
Lovely area though. Thank you.

Um, that's what I said. Most people tend to talk loudly to scare snakes, or sing "Snakey Snakey Go Away". It won't have any effect unless you accompany it with a decent rhythm section. However, if you just do the stomping it isn't as much fun.

Enjoyed this a lot & once again impressed with your vehicle bouncing all over the place but video remained rock steady

Thanks for this post and video. Yes it is really a nice and peaceful little pond where I was 10 years ago or so in order to find water at a field a little bit above. They drilled a bore hole there as far as I remember and used a solar submersible pump to bring it up. Between the pond and the field I can remember large boulders in the way as well. A little spring feeds this pond and the overflow continues to reach later the Ezousa river as well...
