Yes, these are similar terms to those which were in existence prior to Cyprus joining the EU, basically for all 3rd country nationals. Now we are 'out of the Club' we are treated as 3rd country nationals. Those who voted 'leave' can now blame Brexit.
Interestingly, when we arrived in 1999, the requirement to buy property valued over a certain price was also around CY £200,00. I'm not certain what the required limit regarding guaranteed annual income was then. The easy movement between EU countries that we previously enjoyed is now denied to us Brits. Unless in possession of an MEU or MUKW form, for entering Cyprus.
