Change of central heating from gas/diesel....

As the situation in Ukraine is getting worse, it perhaps makes sense to think about changing your central heating away from gas/diesel towards electric this summer. We never know if the next winter is as cold and long as the last one and then it is necessary to heat your house properly. We also don't know how the supply for gas/diesel to Cyprus will be in the near future, beside much higher costs for it...
The answer would be to order now a so called air-to-water heat pump system and supply your hot water demand for central heating with it. Prices are steadily rising at the moment and perhaps there will be a shortage of the components later in summer, like it is already in Germany.
The system works like an air-con with compressor outside your house and runs like modern airconditioning very economic, as it uses the outdoor temperature, which in Cyprus is relative high in winter. It will bypass your gas/diesel burner and supply direct the existing radiators.
All you need is electricity which you could produce yourself with photo voltaic modules, if you have it already. In this case you help also the environment and your pocket book.
