Polemi is a village in the centre of the Paphos District. Each year, some of the fields around Polemi play host to a sea of red, as tulips (Tulipa agenensis ) burst into display once the winter chills have passed. Hence, Polemi is known as "The Tulip Village" and normally hosts an annual Tulip Festival every Spring.

Modern farming techniques have cut back the tulip population in recent years. However, they can still be found in several locations, and on verges between vineyards. There is also a field which is padlocked shut, and dedicated to tulip preservation.

In this film, we walk around some of the fields, and use the drone to get a birds-eye view of the floral display. The tulips are in flower at the moment. If you do come and visit them, please, just look at them and take photographs. Don't pick them. That way, they will still be around for other people to enjoy.

There will be an article with lots of photos to accompany this film along soon.
