Has anyone had their second booster yet? If so, what's the procedure please?

Had my 4th vaccs (2nd booster) yesterday at the General. 11am, in and out in 5 minutes. Well organised. You need passport and vaccination cards.

Is there a recommended number of weeks / months that you need to wait from the last booster?

NB I have read on a Paphos FB page that from 04 April the age is now 70+

'b) The booster / 4th installment is granted to persons over 70 years of age, to persons regardless of age who live or work in nursing homes and closed structures, provided that the period of five (5) months has elapsed from the receipt of the booster / 3rd installment'.

'For the vaccination to be given to persons over 70 years of age, an identification document (identity card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented. This will be followed by information regarding the booster / 4th dose vaccination of health professionals and immunosuppressed individuals.
Taking the booster / 4th dose of the vaccine is optional.
Vaccination center schedule (walkin)
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 1 p.m'.

Nothing to do with the op's question but this info maybe reassurring. 11 people at my bowls club have been diagnosed with covid in the last 6 weeks. Have spoken to them & all have had the first booster only. Some felt worse than others but all felt fine again after a couple of weeks. Despite it not being obligatory to self isolate in the UK they did out of respect for others

I am over 70 years of age and it is just over 5 months since I had my last booster.
I went to the hospital this morning to have my second booster jab and there were no problems at all.
Because it is Saturday, it was not busy ie hardly anyone there. And of course, I could park near the entrance to the building.
I was asked which vaccine I wanted and I chose the Pfizer one as that was the one I had previously.
I was asked for my Vaccination certificate and my yellow slip. I didn't take my yellow slip but I had my (out of date) ID card.
I was in and out in around 10 minutes..

12 April 2022:

Every Monday the Moderna vaccine will be available at the walk-in vaccination centres
Every Tuesday the Pfizer vaccine will be available at the walk-in vaccination centres
Every Saturday the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at the walk-in vaccination centres.
Every Wednesday the Pfizer vaccine will be available from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and the Moderna vaccine as well as the Pfizer vaccine will be available from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the walk-in vaccination centres.
Every Thursday the Pfizer vaccine will be available at the walk-in vaccination centres.
Every Friday the J&J and Moderna vaccines will be available at the walk-in vaccination centres

Is there any information regarding the 2nd booster and having had the virus a few weeks previously.

Sheer Khan - I have recently asked this question and had two different answers.

The first was to wait 28 days after release from quarantine.

The second states: you can have the 2nd booster at least 5 months after the 1st booster, provided you feel well and have no symptoms due to the recent infection.

Maybe best to go along to the vaccination centre and check with the staff administering the vaccines.

We had our second booster yesterday at the General. We went along around 1.30 pm and the whole thing took approximately 15 minutes. We were asked if we had recently recovered from covid, had we had any other infections, did we have any allergies. The only downside was a painful arm overnight and this morning which we didn't have after the first booster.

It may legally be possible to get the booster shortly after an infection. However, from a medical point of view it doesn´t make sense as you can regard the infection as a booster. Assuming you were infected by the Omicron variant (which you most probably were), it would even provide better immunity than a booster vaccination (but not for the unvaccinated).
