This seems to be a different shop than the one leading into the hospital road.. Do you know, and can you tell us what the price will be if you are happy with them.. And are they totally in the ear or also round the back ?

Have to bear in mind that even though devices are available that fit in the ear their suitability depends on your audiogram test results and also your anatomy (size of ear canal). Some websites do mention that these devices are for slight or moderate hearing loss only and the behind the ear devices are far more effective. As the device has to physically fit in the ear it is not always possible to have the choice if that area is too small to accommodate it.
Prices start from approx €800 each and can go up to €3000 each. The cheaper ones are more basic than the ones costing about €500 more which have a wider range of sounds/situations they can accommodate, so it is a case of juggling what is best for the individual and how much they are prepared to pay. You should be offered a minimum of one week's free trial of the hearing aid you choose which is preset to the levels recommended by the technician after consulting the audiogram results.
