Currently here in Tala with our 'loaded' Firestick which has enabled us to watch everything that it does at home in the UK 
I have used most devices including a ''Firestick'' for our local TV use, and for sure Firesticks do not have the same stations for all Sky vewing and a lot more besides, but if you are coming and going maybe a firestick is favourit but not if you need more TV programs..
We are now on Fast Fibre optics 250MBS and we get less veiwing problems..
mind it is getting too bloody hot to sit and watch TV now.
Watch out for that TV dector wagon..
