'Delays to payments around US bank holidays
If you live abroad and your payment is due in the same week as a US bank holiday, it could arrive one day late. This is because a US company processes these payments'.
https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-if-you-retire-abroad

As well as public holidays affecting the whole of the USA there are also state holidays
https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/

Hence it depends where the bank is located in the USA that processes the payments.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Fri Jan 21, 2022 12:13 pm Not that I check it by the day, but I find that if you knock 2 or 3 days off the day you received it in the previous month, that's the day you receive it now. So if I (say) received my pension on 23rd December I will expect to receive it on 20/21 January. There are of course 13 four-weekly payments each year.

Talking of pensions, does anyone know why the Cyprus state pension never goes up from one year to the next? Mine is the same now as it was 8 years ago. Are there no COLA increases in Cyprus?
They do give you a 13th extra.

Same as you daveg but should have been 24/12, they often do this if due date is a UK holiday or as above US holiday as I believe they use an exchange institution in the US.
