I am having trouble talking to my friend in Cyprus on FB messenger. We can both see each other, but whilst I can hear her, she can't hear me.

I have ensured that the volume is on maximum, and the mike is not muted, so what am I doing wrong ?

Can anyone help please.

First question: can they hear any sound on their computer?

Second question: Can you communicate via a different app like whatsapp?

Firstly thank you for your replies.

Yes my friend can hear other people, it's just me.

I can't connect via what's app for some reason.

My friend is using a new phone, the one she used before worked ok. Is this because I'm on my laptop and she's on her phone perhaps ?

Did you try whatsapp from your laptop as well or from your cellphone? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Are you using a voip app like e.g. dialnow or voipbuster? If so, is it not working either?

Sorry, far too technical for me, only just finding my way around my iPhone.

Thought it might just be a simple fix, seems not.

Hello Jackie, it is an easy fix.

Remove then reload the app....worked for me.

Need help, then go to Utube never fails me.
