The information contained in this article is at odds with the update (15/12/21) from The Cypriot Ministry of Tourism in response to the threat from Omicron. The ministry states that a PCR will be taken at Paphos/Larnica airport (fee involved) then a rapid test 72 hours after arrival in Cyprus. The rapid test will be taken through the sampling points run by the Ministry of Health .The test will be free of charge on production of your boarding pass and ID.However individuals who have received a 3rd dose of a 2 dose vaccination regime or a 2nd dose of a single dose regime (I take this to mean a booster) will be exempt from taking a second test.
This decision is effective immediately and until 10/1/22 at least.
So which info is correct ?
I divide my time between UK and Cyprus and this isn't the first time that I have found conflicting information.

There was a further update on the 18/12 regards new entry rules for those from the UK.

VisitCyprus is currently showing the older requirements that were updated 15/12.

The info in the linked article above basically matches the Ministry of Health's
announcement on the 18th which you can read here:

Announcement by the Ministry of Health as of 18 December

Whether there will be further clarifications or changes is anyone's guess but one of our members
contacted VisitCyprus today and was told that the update on the 15th was correct. They were also
told to visit the PIO site for latest updates - which as you can see when you do that its shows the new
update on the 18th linked above.

In the new update the wording seems clear:

"...all passengers entering the Republic of Cyprus from the United
Kingdom, over 12 years of age and regardless of vaccination
coverage or previous disease
..."

Cheers
