Hi
We’ve been looking to buy some non biological washing powder/capsules but can’t find any. Can anybody suggest where we can buy some or is there an alternative that you use?
Many thanks

We were in Papantoniou (Chrolakas) about a month ago and apprehended a Cypriot lady with a child who pointed us in the right direction.
it was in the baby section rather that the laundry section, of course!!

All the supermarkets sell non bio washing powder and also in liquid form. I always use the latter. It gives good results. I have also started to use a water softener for washing machines. This is in tablet form. Again very good results with this and it is helping to descale my washing machine which seems to be running better.

Excuse my ignorance but what are the relative advantages of bio and non-bio washing powders?

Never washed anything in my life, not even a pair of socks, but google came up with this,
Which is better bio or non-bio washing powder?
Biological washing powder and liquids contain enzymes. These help to break down fat, grease and proteins to get clothes clean. ... Non-bio doesn't contain enzymes so is generally gentler, making it a better choice for sensitive skin.

I'm allergic to biological washing powder and liquids.
Would you like me to explain my thrush and body weals which make an appearance if I come into contact with it?

I very seldom use the Bio washing products. It is good for stain removal if that is a problem.
Otherwise I usually use non bio. But its very important whichever product you use, is to make sure all the residue in clothes has been rinsed out thoroughly. To avoid any skin irritation.

Sad nerd alert! We have both bio and non bio. The non bio being used exclusively for all my car cleaning microfibre gear…
