Last night in Tala, around 9.30pm there was an attempted break-in at a villa.
These men are presently active and are at large in the Paphos area, so be extra careful and aware of your security at home. Make sure your alarm and CCTV system is in full working order.
Contact the police if you have any information.

Maybe they work for the security company, mentioned?

I have put the post through the spam filter. I wasn't sure whether the original facebook post was genuine or not, so I took a still of the clip showing the most info and posted that.
I'm not saying Enigma was intentionally spamming, but the post was a bit over the spam line, if that makes sense.

I watched the video on another Face Book group. They are well 'hooded up' and I cannot see them being recognised..

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as spammy just sharing the information so people are aware.

That's why I changed it to show the most helpful information. No harm done.

Andyman is owed an apology. They posted in good faith, but due to unforeseen circumstances, their post was flagged as spam. I acted accordingly, and banned the user and IP address. They have since been in contact with me, and had a perfectly credible reason for having the aforementioned IP address. I will be removing their ban, and want to apologise here too, for their treatment. In our defence, it was an honest mistake, but it just goes to show that Occam's Razor is actually a double-edged sword.
Anyway, I am off to work out how to remove an IP ban.
Oh and the rest of this thread has been moved to "Beyond Cyprus". It was inappropriate now, but certainly didn't belong in the pit.

Three things:
Firstly, revealing a user's email address is very likely to be illegal. In the UK certainly, it would contravene the data protection act.
Secondly, that is nothing like the email address of the user Andyman on this forum.
Thirdly, the domain paphossecurity.com isn't even registered, so any company associated with the email address closed some time ago.

There is bad blood between 2 local home security companies, and the fact that this incident has been hyped up, and has happened in Tala apparently may be related to this.? But for locals living in the Tala area this incident has been publicised. It is very worrying.
But I am sick to death of the shennanigans that one particular company has been going to in order to try to destroy its supposed rival.

This video appeared on a Tala website, which purports to be the voice of the council, where a local official had made quite a few allegations in the past against a local security company and who it is now believed to be subject to a forthcoming legal action in the courts.

On that note, I am locking this thread.
As the chap on the telly used to say: "Keep 'em peeled."
