This weather is scary! It looks like we are heading to catastrophe unless we get loads of rain and very soon. Since 1 October I have measured 15.2 mm when it should normally have been about 40. And it's not just rain that is missing but also wind; we are not getting what would normally be prevailing winds. Peak temperatures in the 25° to 30° C region are also anomalous as is the current barometer of nearly 1020 hPa. Who says that the climate is not changing?

However, my photovoltaic system is producing much more electricity than in the last years. Wind power is not relevant in Cyprus anyhow as it is not enough to produce large amounts of electricity. Since 1 October I have measured only 10.5 mm/m2 though.

You are obviously too single-minded to think that wind is not relevant in Cyprus. Of course it is. Why do you think you are generating more electricity from your PV system? It's because for the last couple of weeks we have had no wind of any significance to create the turbulence necessary for cloud formation, in turn, little rain. Weather is a complete system formed from close to 20 different variables, any one of which can influence the others.
As a matter of curiosity, I'm intrigued by the way you add /square metre after your actual rainfall. In the case in point, you quote 10.5 mm per square metre but, in fact, it's 10.5 mm per any area (within reason). It will be 10.5 mm per square centimetre or per square metre or per square inch or per square foot etc. In other words, you don't really have to add the /m2. If you look at
https://worldweather.wmo.int/en/city.html?cityId=1442
(World Meteorological Organization website for Paphos), you will see bottom right Mean Total Rainfall (mm).
