Just a look at the limited menu tells me that if I wanted a more authentic Chinese meal there is plenty of choice around the Paphos area.

Talking about authentic Chinese food, my sister was in China a couple of years ago with her businessman husband, they were in China, buying goods for his company, the owner of the factory took them to a nice restaurant, too her horror he asked them if they were up to eating Dog meat, not wanting to offend their host, she said she had a stomach ache and felt queasy so she wouldn't be eating anything, when they left , she told my Bro in law, that just the thought of the chef using the same knife on the dog and other meats was enough to put her off ordering anything on the menu.

Are you allergic to full stops or something?
I don't know why people have an issue with dog meat, if they are fine with pigs and cows. Take lamb, for instance. Nothing looks cuter than a baby lamb skipping across a field. Yet I still think it tastes delicious with mint sauce.

Not allergic to full stops, just limited in my writing education

.
You make a very good point regards eating dog meat, I think its simply a matter of hundreds of years of westerners looking at dogs as pets and part of the family.
IM sure if we were on a desert island somewhere and the only thing left to eat was a dog, most people would eat it to stay alive.
PS Ive put in a couple of full stops there.

Having worked in South Korea I can tell you the butchers shop window has some strange specimens hanging up.

The butcher shops in Kathmandu back in the 90s would have turned a lot of people vegan. I remember seeing carcasses of meat dragged along the floor to be butchered.

A bit nearer to home, back in the day I had a mate that supplied catering products to the trade, so one day I went with him to a sausage/ pie manufacturers in the East end of London, if you saw the state of the meat going in at one end, only bringing it back to life by the colouring added, that was thirty years ago, and I have never bought a ready made sausage again since.
