I am sure you would be welcome as long as you have given up the hillbilly banjo jokes, especially the one about Polemi children only having 3 fingers.

In another place John, during your anti Agios Dimitrianos/ Polemi phase.

Hi TD
We own a holiday cottage in Agios Dimitrianos.
There are only about 100 registered voters in the village, so I guess no more than 150 residents total. It is very unlikely that a taverna will ever open.
The village is converting the social room opposite the church into a cafe - no food. I think it is almost guaranteed to fail through lack of business. Unfortunately like most new Cypriot enterprises no one ever does any market research before opening a new business. It apparently seemed a good idea to the council, so they thought it was worth a try. I did try and probe the Muchtar as to who the customers might be, his answers would not have impressed most bank managers.
Polemi is only 3km away has 2 Tavernas, 2 banks, 2 small supermarkets (not kiosks) a bakery and a ridiculous number of coffee shops - 4 at the last count.

Sorry Ian
The best charity shop in Cyprus. In fact if Carlsberg did charity shops, the Polemi one would still be the best

John While I don't want this to end up in the pit, so I am not going to quote any of the attacks you made. Just as an example go to that other place and look up 23/08/11 and your post of 9.43pm, unless there is another John using the name Bassman62.

Let's try that again using my admin id...
Thank you, Polemi Dave, for respecting the General Discussions area.
Bassman62, I have just been reading through some very unsavoury comments you have made in the past on other forums. If you start any of that nonsense here you will receive an immediate ban.
This is not meant to be the start of a debate. This is a statement.

Interesting post Dave. I went back and looked at that stuff when you posted the date, amazing how one so easily forgets how bad it was. And how easily others seem to have forgotten too. Which is mainly why, like several more, I no longer post there.

As a refugee from another place I appreciate your stance Dominic. A strong statement with no faffing about. This is exactly the approach that results in a friendly and effective forum. Keep it up.
