The forecast is for Cyprus, not for Paphos. Nicosia will see higher temperatures.

HIC is right, Nicosia and the interior of the island always have higher temperatures during the Summer months than Paphos.
<Weatherunderground> have a much more accurate forecast for Paphos.

I believe that 38° C is being unduly optimistic, even at Athalassa. However, in mitigation, the humidity today is relatively high, which may give the impression of higher temperatures than measured with a thermometer (heat index). Please note that the temperatures in the above diagram are as expected in Mosfiloti, at an altitude of nearly 300 m. As a general rule, these expected temperatures are 1 – 2° C lower than forecast at Athalassa.
