Unidentified woman involved in Paphos accident treated in critical condition

A so far unidentified woman who was hit by a car last night at the Pegia-Kathikas road is being treated at the Nicosia General Hospital in critical condition.
According to information, a car driven by a 30-year-old, under conditions that are being investigated hit a pedestrian who at that time was trying to cross the road.
The pedestrian was initially transferred to the Paphos General Hospital but then due to the seriousness of her condition was taken to the Nicosia General Hospital.
The 30-year-old was arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant.

Identify of woman injured during traffic accident on Saturday found
Almost 36 hours after accident in Pegia, the Police managed to confirm the identity of the woman who was hit by a car and is being hospitalized in critical condition. It is Jill Garren, 53 who lives with her husband in the community of Arodes.
It is worth noting that the authorities are also investigating the possibility of a family incident that forced the woman to leave her house and be in the road at that specific time.

Husband of woman hit by car in Pegia, arrested by Police
Twenty-four hours after the car accident in Pegia, the Police managed to find out the identity of the woman who was hit by a car and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. It is Jill Garren, 53 who lives with her husband in the community of Arodes.
The Police were investigating the possibility of domestic violence and this has been confirmed by Michalis Ioannou, spokesman of the Paphos Police who said that the woman’s husband has been arrested after a testimony that a domestic incident forced the woman to leave her house and walk in the street where she was hit by a car.

That is so awful. Poor woman. I hope this will be the catalyst for change in her life. Nobody deserves to live in fear.

Poor lady. Hope that she will recover fully.
But its hard to judge what must be a complicated situation which had arisen in a domestic setting. We don't know the details.
