1) Filled in return and submitted ---- no problem

2)Friend phoned ,said he had completed his and it was temporarily stored. Trouble was he could not work out how to change his return from temporarily stored to submitted. Before I had a chance to look he phoned again to say he had done it.

One week later.

3) Went to my brothers to complete his 2020 return for him. Did so and the return is correct with no errors and is temporarily stored. But I could not find a way to submit it even though I had done mine just a week previously.

4)Contacted friend in 2 above but he could not remember how he did it.

So anyone know how to change the 2020 final tax return from temporarily stored to submitted please.

I think you just open the return and click submit on the last page.

I had the same problem then I clicked self assessment/contributions at the end and the return was submitted
