Aphrodite Hills

We recently showed a drive through Secret Valley, a golf resort near Paphos, Cyprus. It proved popular so we thought we would have a drive through the Golf Resort next to it too.

Starting at a viewpoint overlooking Aphrodite's Birthpplace, we drive along the coast road to Aphrodite Hills, before taking a tour of the resort itself. Once we have finished with the fairways, we follow an old Roman Road to Aphrodite's Riding School, in the middle of the countryside.

I had no idea it was so big, always thought it was a golf course with a few houses surrounding it.

This video ended with a surprise. Visited many times as my golf partner wanted to visit the pro shop on every trip but each time we had to stop at the entrance & sometimes were given a pass but you seemed to sail through. Perhaps the original idea as Lloyd so eloquently put on another topic is to keep the riff raff out. So what surprised me? That final part of the journey. Had no idea you could leave that way

You can get to all sorts of places that way. You can even drive to Kato Archimandrita, though I have only done that trip from the opposite direction. I would have no idea which track to take from the riding school.
