Hi Guys
We often see a Pickup or Truck parked up on the roadside selling varied things , mostly Fruit and Veg , and some are selling Pots .
My question , can anyone stop and sell or do you need permission , if so what .
Thanks
Les

Interesting point! You'd think that some sort of license would be required.
But it seens to be something that some growers of fruit and veg do perhaps with their surplus, for example you sometimes see water melons being sold by the road side. There is sometimes a stand selling fruit and veg on the Coral Bay Rd in the Chloraka area.

Food vans, ie ice cream, sandwich, burger vans etc, you need a licence, and hygiene tests etc.

In the 1950s, kids would sell watermelons at roadside for a piastre for one weighing ,say, 5 okes!

I would guess there are regulations and a permit is required , but I would also guess these regs are not very firmly implemented.
Food trucks are regularly inspected, I have a friend who has one.

Hi Guys
Without advertising , do you think it would be ok to sell some Handmade items from the
roadside say from the back of a pickup , no Hygiene related issues in this instance .
The business is registered and legal
Thanks

Oakland, returning to your original query.
Perhaps Citizens Advice would know, they are usually very helpful.
Otherwise, they can probably steer you in the right direction to someone who does.

Cant see a problem, as long as you are not breaking any rules regards the location you pick on, it might be a good idea to pop into your local town hall, and run your plan with them first. there might be some local Bye laws, regulating selling on the streets? good luck.

Go to the the local town hall, and hear it from the horses mouth, and save yourself from possible headaches ,we can only guess and speculate.

If you mean the one near what used to be the Latin parish Hall, then that is on his own land. That may well make a difference.
