Protaras lies to the North East of Ayia Napa, and is home to some of the most popular beaches on Cyprus, and indeed, the whole of Europe. In this film we take a drive on a hot summer's afternoon though the tourist areas, driving past several of the beaches along the way.

We go to the East once a year. It is completely different to how most people on the west of the island seem to view it. Mind you, we never go to the main areas at night, other than for an early evening meal. Plus we avoid the bigger tourist beaches. But that's because there are so many lovely, smaller beaches there.
It doesn't have the countryside you get in Paphos, but it still has its moments. Plus there is Cape Greko. If they ever do make the Akamas more accessible, Cape Greko demonstrates that you can do this without ruining the place.

Very strange to see Pernera and Protaras with November levels of people in blazing Summer sunshine, nice video !
It was actually busier than last year. So things have improved a bit.

Les I am not sure if you are a visitor like me or a resident but as Dominics videos have shown there is a lot more to see than on the usual tourists haunts but happy to hear you enjoy Cyprus
