Tree doctor or almond tree advice.

Is there such an occupation in Paphos such as a tree doctor.Or,can anyone advise on our dreaded almond tree which is dropping its sap or what ever ( its like honey or glue ) to such an extent it has ruined the driveway and is killing all the other growth anywhere near it.If its only fate is to be cut down then i,ll gladly be the executioner.But the other half is more compassionate and wants a more lenient sentence.Any advice please.

Does your almond tree have any insect infestation ? Mine was dropping sap continuously I removed some bark and I noticed it had been riddled with wood worm. Alas so much so that it had to be cut down.

Thanks bmw,i,ve just investigated but not a sign of insect infestation.
