Emba to Tremithousa

Here's a nice drive that has been requested. When we first moved to Cyprus, we thought that Emba, Lemba and Lempa were just different spellings of the same place. However, Emba and Lempa are in fact two separate villages that just happen to be right next to each other. Our drive takes you through the uppermost of the two villages, then up to Tremithousa. We use a route that avoids the centre of Paphos and takes us through some of the surrounding countryside.

The film is sponsored by Wise. To get the best exchange rates, use the following link:

I watched this video, but even though I know the roads around here pretty well and often drive this way, your chosen route utterly confused me! Certainly not one of the routes which I have used to get from Chloraka, via Lempa, Emba, Tala and then Trimithousa...
Anyway, the photography was good.
Thanks.
Dee

Dee this film is not the direct way to get between these villages, Trimithousa being my village, it just gives anyone who has time to look at the surrounding areas..I think..I already use Wise....... :D

Nice video, Dominic. Thanks.

When you go over a road hump, the camera doesn't seem to move vertically. What's the secret?

Go slowly over the hump.

Another question Dominic. Why is the sky always so blue ? Haven't seen it here for ages. Incidentally there is a house in Tremithousa that used to serve a great coffee ;)

Funnily enough, I did a drone flight around Foinikas when the flowers were in bloom. Normally it is a beautiful sight, but it was a grey day and there was a lot of dust in the air. So the footage looked awful.

So the reason you see nice skies is because I don't show the crap ones.

As you're probably aware Dominic there's too much yellow in the top pic. In your editing software you should have Whlte Balance correction which will mostly put this right. Alternatively, in the Cast setting you should go towards the blue.

I managed to correct the pic but could not post it here because once again I could not get the pic size to confirm to the phpBB limitations.
I was referring to the sky more than anything. The image I posted was an unedited raw file, cropped and saved as JPEG. You can do a lot of things with RAW files, but you cannot make a grey sheet of sky look interesting.

But the sky wasn't blue in real life. It was grey.
