Bloody bureaucracy if there ever was any! The post office should be thoroughly ashamed of itself for introducing such an idiocy.

Why blame the Post office, things were never going to be the same after Brexit?

What the heck has the post office done to invoke Brexit? That the British Post Office did something similar, I could understand; but the Cypriot one? No! In any case, it seems to be for nearly every non--EU country.

There used to be a green Customs Declaration slip which had to be attached to parcels.
Common practice was to declare the contents as having - No commercial Value.

True, but in the past that customs declaration was a simple green coloured form which was given to you, when sending a parcel. It was produced by the post office. Nothing like the long winded and potentially confusing specimen that needs to be produced by the customer.
What will happen if the person sending a parcel doesn't have a computer and printer? Here I am thinking about a person sending a birthday gift for example. Not a company.

You don't need a printer, just the Customs Declaration Number, the PO staff look it up on their Computer...
All this fuss over a 2 minute form .....

We've done it recently. No problem and it's a very slick process.
