Turkeys has one of the worse records in the World, for violence and murders against women, so what do they do? they leave the convention set up to try and deal with violence againts women.

Strange comment in that article:
"World Health Organization data has shown 38 percent of women in Turkey are subject to violence from a partner in their lifetime, compared with about 25 percent in Europe."
The implication is that 38% is bad (no, it's appalling) whereas 25% is, well, the average (no, it's almost as appalling).
Ironic that Turkey leaves the 2011 Instanbul Convention
