Yes, have been looking at what some of the Cypriots think about them, which is interesting.
Basically, some people are all in favour of the linear park idea which helps to beautify Paphos. But several are concerned about other factors. Firstly, they hope that there will be park attendants who will supervise public usage of the parks (probably little hope of that), but also there are questions about whether the plants/trees in the parks will be maintained? Other people say that these parks need to be well lit at night, to prevent their use by drug pushers and addicts, vandals and other undesireable persons.
One person hoped that there would be a cycle track as well as footpaths.
I agree with these comments.
I think that judging by the way some cyclists use the coastal path, it is remarkable that there aren't more accidents involving pedestrians, who can't hear them coming.

Hello Dee. The very first picture shows a dedicated cycle route next to a dedicated walking route. They are right about the maintenance concern. One of my criticisms of the municipality is not looking after the things they already have - including the new builds.

Regarding the coastal paths - cyclists and dogs are not allowed but from the Elysium through to Yeroskipou I have only seen 2 signs to show this. Needless to say no one takes much notice. I have seen an increase lately in the number of cyclists (and a moped the other day) although there are nearby miles and miles of cycle paths that run along the back of Yeroskipou on the new ‘airport’ roads. If I wanted a good run out on a bike, that would be ideal but I don’t think many use it.

Still, it will be a lovely addition to Paphos if it is looked after.
