Earthquake measuring 5 felt all over Cyprus

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale occurred around 16:30 and was felt all over Cyprus.Due to the earthquake, the Parliament session that was going to vote the state budget was suspended for a while....

According to Phili News (In Cyprus) The earthquake was S/SE of Cyprus. If was 5.1 on the Richter scale. It was felt in Limassol and Larnaca.

At that time I was out with my dog near Larnaca and I realized nothing.

Being outside, and sitting in your room, watching your furniture shake is a bit different

Only once have we sat through an earthquake that lasted all of 30 seconds. I thought the chair I was sitting on had one of the legs collapse under me but it was the effect of the quake. Elsewhere people looked as though they were sliding to one side. It was a bizarre experience.
