Working hours of shops on New Year's Eve

The Labour Ministry informed that according to the relevant legislation, on New Year???s Eve general shops can remain open until 18:00.It is also clarified that on 1, 2, and 6 January, general shops must remain closed as these days are considered holidays for shop personnel....

Well I certainly think that some of the small and medium sized shops will be open during the holidays. Maybe the staff will indeed get double time

Who decided Sat 2nd Jan a public holiday ? I would have thought there has been more than enough enforced closures already rather than inventing new ones.

Im sure shop workers will welcome some extra time spent with their family

Though some of them might be ready to work on a public holiday if they are being paid for
overtime.
