Easter opening hours

Does anyone know if the main shops are open on Tuesday? AlphaMega, Debenhams, Lidl etc? I forgot to look last time I went shopping.

Thank you. I only asked because Maria the chemist and the dry cleaning shop both at Mesogi will both be closed.

An interesting quirk with Easter here in UK is that down South, we have Good Friday and Easter Monday off, whereas up North, they work on Good Friday and have the Monday and Tuesday off.
Never really understood the reasoning behind this... Anyone know?

I have lived many years 'up North' as does my Daughter currently. I can assure you that Good Friday and Easter Monday are Bank holidays, never known it to be Tuesday.

My niece living in Staffordshire always gets the Tuesday following Easter Monday as a day off - I think it has something to do with an additional days leave entitlement - she works for Staffordshire County Council.
